To use the tool, place the bearing onto the Gomexus bearing maintenance tool and hold it vertically. Spin the bearing gently with your fingertip. A properly functioning bearing should rotate smoothly, freely, and silently.

For a more detailed inspection, hold the bearing vertically between your thumb and index finger and rotate it slowly. Pay close attention to how the bearing feels during rotation.

If you notice any rough spots, resistance, or irregular movement, the bearing may have an issue such as:

- Debris inside the bearing (sand, dust, salt, etc.)

- A damaged bearing ball

- A bent retainer (cage) or a dented race

In this case, clean and lubricate the bearing thoroughly, then repeat both tests. If the bearing still fails either check after maintenance, replacement is recommended.
